Shiek's Quest Roleplay Guide: Hunter Killer Empty

For the record, this is an attempt to make a guide based on how I have completed this mission for the first time. It is not guranteed to work for everyone, but it gives you a vague idea of the mission. I would appreciate if you guys rated this guide on your comments, on a scale of 1-10. Anyways, below is the guide.

Quest Name: Hunter Killer
Location: Sandy Plains
Environment: Unstable
Main Monsters: Jaggi; Qurupeco; Barroth; Great Jaggi; Rhenoplos
Time Limit: 50 min.
Reward: 3800z
Contract Fee: 350z
Main Quest: Hunt a Great Jaggi and a Barroth
Subquest A: None
Subquest B: None

Items Used: Raw Meat x10; BBQ Spit; Tranq. Bombs x8; Shock Trap x1; Trap Tool x2; Thunderbug x2; Paintball x10; Felvine Bomb x5; Whetstone x20; First-Aid Med x3; Map x1; Torch x1; Mini-Whetstone x2
Weapon: Peco Flint (Hammer Class)
Armor Set: Gobul Vambraces, Lv. 3; Baggi Coil, Lv. 3; Ludroth Greaves, Lv. 3; Rhenoplos Cap, Lv. 4; Barroth Mail, Lv. 4

Guide: Make sure you stop by the Supplies Box before you go on your quest. Set out for Area 4, and then wait for about 3 minutes. If nothing shows up, head for Area 5. The Great Jaggi should still be there, and with the Peco Flint, its death should be quick. Remember that if you are gathering items from a dead Great Jaggi in Area 5, you should light a torch to keep the Jaggi and Jaggia from attacking you (note that this only works if you are facing them; even with a torch lit, they will strike if you turn your back to them). If something does appear in Area 4, go and try to kill it. The Great Jaggi will usually appear first, soon followed by the Qurupeco. Kill the Great Jaggi, and then either go for the Qurupeco or head to Area 3 to fight the Barroth. If you decide to hunt the Qurupeco, congratulations! You have now found a way to add to your hunter's paycheck due to the "Free Hunt" bonus given if you succeed with the mission. Remember to Paintball the beast, and then go after it, mainly aiming for its flints (broken flints=less chances of a successful fire attack). If hunted correctly, it should go down in about the same amount of time it took to kill the Great Jaggi, and should only have traveled through four areas. You also have the option of getting more items in your Free Hunt SUpplies Box at the end of the mission if you take advantage of the Shock Trap and Tranq Bombs you brought. Now that you have killed/captured the Qurupeco and killed the Great Jaggi, it is time for the Barroth. When you start to fight the Qurupeco in Area 4, it will most likely summon the Barroth, so make sure to Paintball it before chasing the Qurupeco around the map. The Barroth is harder to beat than the other two monsters, so the fact that you managed to take the other two down in such a short amount of time gives you enough time to fight it. Focus on knocking off its mud armor, which will make it weaker to the Peco Flint's Fire-attribute. Aim for its creat to shatter it, giving you a one-carve item. Eventually the monster should start to get tired and go into Rage Mode. When it does, be ready to do A LOT of dodging. Wait for the oh-so-few open spots it leaves in Rage, and then hit it hard and fast. When it flees to Area 3, take the time to combine your Trap Tool and Thunderbug into a Shock Trap, and set it up while the Barroth is asleep. Wake the brute up with a strike of your hammer, and lure it to the trap. When it's paralyzed, capture it. I hope this guide helps!
(As for the Felvine Bombs, save them for when the Qurupeco summons Melynx, or when the Barroth or Qurupeco go to a Felyne-infested area.)
